About Dinner Diner at HALO

How about bringing your own diner crew to HALO to provide and serve dinner? The number of meals to provide is usually around 100 for the entire shelter, or you can just do one side of the shelter. We can let you know a few days ahead what our census is at the time. HALO clients are thrilled when groups provide dinner. They love the food that is provided and the interaction with those who bring the meal. Volunteers who do this describe it as a very positive experience and many return on a regular schedule. Prepare a meal, bring it in and serve it, or you can order something to be brought in and serve it. A group of 8 (4 on each side of the shelter) is perfect, but if ordering in the meal and serving it - 4 works fine.

Application Process

Group complete a short form. Individual volunteers - not with a group - complete an application form and back ground check depending on where assigned in shelter.

Family-Friendly

Parents and children are invited and encouraged to get involved.
