About Research

There are so many things we learning about this house and the folks who lived here! We now have the 200 year old portrait of Judith Clark Bright due to the research of a FRIEND of Holly Rood. We also have a copy of the Portrait of Caroline Wheeler who lived at Holly Rood during the Civil War due to Barbara Morgan, a descendant of the Wheelers. We are now the proud owners of a Spittoon (LOL) belonging to Judge Beckner dating from the 1880's. And in the cellar we found a board with Floyd Day Jr's name on it. Old newspapers, photos, sites such as Family Tree etc. can be helpful. The families who lived here were active in their world , the info is out there!
