 onnecticut College Access and Advising Network (CCAN) are recruiting vol
 unteers across the state to help high school seniors take one of the mos
 t important steps of their lives: applying to college.\n\nDuring Connect
 icut College Application Week\, our volunteers sit side by side with stu
 dents and help them complete and submit at least one college application
 . For many seniors —that hands-on support is the difference between appl
 ying and giving up. You don’t need to be an admissions expert. You just 
 need a few hours and a willingness to help.\n\nWhat Volunteers Do\n•	Gui
 de seniors through completing and submitting at least one college applic
 ation\n•	Help students create accounts\, gather information\, and naviga
 te application platforms\n•	Answer basic questions and cheer students on
  through the process\n•	OTHER: Support HBCU-focused sessions\, including
  the Common Black College Application\, where offered\n\n\nYou’ll always
  work alongside school staff and our team — never on your own.\n\nWho We

 ccess professionals\n•	Higher Heights alumni\n•	College students\n•	Comm

 n\nWhere You’ll Serve\nOur initial partner communities are New Haven\, H
 amden\, Waterbury\, and Middletown\, with additional towns to be added. 
 When you register\, you’ll choose your preferred school district and the
  times you’re available\, and we’ll match you to a participating school.
 \nTime Commitment & Training\n•	Flexible: sign up for one session or sev
 eral — you choose your availability.\n•	Supported: we provide a voluntee
 r toolkit and all materials you’ll need.\n•	Timely: volunteer activities
  center on Connecticut College Application Week\, and align with the Con
 necticut College Systems Free Application Day on Monday\, November 2\, 2
 026\, when students can apply to Connecticut’s public colleges and unive
 rsities at no cost.\n\nRequired: All volunteers must attend two virtual 
 training sessions before working with students. Training is free and pre
 pares you for everything you’ll do.\n•	Session 1: Sunday\, October 4 at 
 5:00pm— Session focus  program overview\, your role\, and expectations\n
 •	Session 2: Sunday\, October 25 at 5:00pm — Session focus — application
  platforms\, confirmed volunteer placement locations\, times and details
 \n\nNo experience required. We’ll make sure you feel prepared and confid
