About Pet Visitor Volunteer

Pet visitor volunteer needed in the Battle Creek area to visit hospice patients. Volunteer and there dog will make a difference in each residence day in each encounter. Many of these patients owned and loved pets of their own and are now no longer able to care or house a pet of their own. Our volunteer and there dog bring back sweet memories and help one resident at a time see life in a more encouraging way. Spirits are lifted and smiles are contagious with each visit.

Application Process

Dog does need a pet therapy certification, volunteer needs, fingerprinting, 2-step TB done, background check, training and paperwork. Volunteer process is all paid for by Heartland, we do not cover cost of pet therapy certification.
