About Heart of Texas Lab Rescue: Volunteer Details

We have volunteer opportunities to suit your needs! From the comfort of your home, you can call potential adoption and foster candidates and interview them for us. You can be at any of our events to "man" our table, talk about HOTLR, and play with a Lab or two. You can be a taxi driver for one or more of our dogs to go to and from the vet, or even to a new home. You can FOSTER a dog to help it learn the basics of home life to get adopted. Or you can even come out to our property (with prior notice) and walk dogs, bathe dogs, play with dogs, hang out with dogs, teach basics to dogs, or help with the never-ending yard work to keep our place people- dog-friendly!

Dog Walker/Trainer

The dogs housed at our ranch benefit from interaction with people who will give them exercise, both mental and physical. Our ranch is located on the outskirts of Leander, and you must complete an orientation before working with the dogs, but it is fun and easy!
