Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rely heavily on grant funding to provide services to the clients we serve. We receive grant funding from the Victims of Crime Act, HisWay, and United Way. Our grant terms require that we raise matching funds which we accomplish through fundraising, individual and corporate contributions and funding from local municipalities.
The mission of Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center is to respond to child abuse with a supportive team approach that reduces trauma through advocacy, treatment, education and prevention. The services we provide are not provided by any other agency in DeSoto or Tate County and are provided at no-cost to our clients. The services include but are not limited to: Forensic Interviews, On-Site Mental Health Counseling, referrals for Off-Site Mental Health Counseling, Medical Exam Referrals, Court Preparation, Community Education, Non-Offending Caregiver Support Groups, Coordination of the DeSoto County Multidisciplinary Team, Personal Advocacy and Support.
We appreciate the support of our community that allows us to provide the services necessary for child abuse victims, child witnesses to violent crimes and non-offending caregivers the support and resources they need to immediately begin the healing process.
