About Make a Difference at Spooky Science Saturday 2015
Making a Difference at Spooky Science Saturday is a one day event held annually on Make a Difference Day to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) exploration. This FREE event allows attendees to participate in fun and interesting STEM focused activities at Leila Arboretum and Kingman Museum. Participants also have the opportunity to give back by bringing non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.
Help us celebrate Make a Difference Day on October 24th at Spooky Science Saturday by volunteering your time! Volunteers are an essential piece to make sure this event runs smoothly. Volunteers will be needed to help with the hayrides and games to running event booths.
Volunteers should arrive around 10:00 and check in at the 'Volunteer Check-In' tent at Kingman Museum. The event wraps up at 3:00 and we ask volunteers to plan to stay until 3:30 to ensure everything is cleaned up and taken care of.
Shifts can be taken for a few hours at a time, so you can choose what timeframe you prefer by clicking below.
Volunteers may be placed indoors or outdoors, so we would like to remind you to dress for the cool October weather - the event does occur rain or shine! Upon arrival, all volunteers will receive an orientation for their assigned task.
