About Our Programs:
Hand in Hand Early Childhood Center offers After School Programs in the Lowville and South Lewis School Districts. Hand In Hand Early Childhood Center has a long-time bond with the school districts in which the programs are offered. Administration, personnel and teachers work closely with the Program staff to ensure the safety and success for the children and families served. The programs offer a wide variety of enriching activities that are developmentally appropriate for school age children. The activities offered at the programs promote youth involvement through community service projects, physical fitness, healthy life styles and team work. A healthy and nutritious snack is offered daily as per the guidelines the New York Department of Health. The programs also offer a variety of hands on activities that promote STEAM, an educational approach promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Other activities offered at the program promote life skills, social skills and winning practices. A Homework Club is offered daily to students for assistance with their school work along with academic challenges to stimulate student’s academic enrichment and success.
Hand In Hand’s mission is to offer school age children and their families a safe, nurturing environment with activities that help build self-esteem and promote a healthy and prosperous future for every child at the After School Programs.
Program hours begin upon school dismissal and operate until 6:00 p.m. nightly during the school calendar year. Program hours are extended for half days of school. A $50.00 registration fee is applicable for each school year per child. With the assistance of grants and partnerships, Hand In Hand is able to offer a free or low tuition rate for these programs.
