About Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County - so many ways to make a difference!

Build a home or wheelchair ramp, provide food for volunteers, unleash your creativity and help in the ReStore - there are all kinds of opportunities!
In the Habitat ReStore, Tuesday -Saturday, help get items to the sales floor, spruce up displays and make the sales floor look great, or join "Chill & Build" to create re-purposed items to sell in the ReStore.

Provide support in the way of food, encouragement, planning special events and other ways.

Build! Learn new skills or share yours building a home or wheelchair ramp. Check out our build schedule online or call our office.

Application Process

Volunteer registration and opportunities are online at www.habitatsangamon.com or call 217-523-2710. An application and waiver may be completed online or are availbale at the Habitat office, 2744 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Volunteer orientation sessions, providing a quick overview of Habitat and volunteer guidelines, are held twice a month.

The 2nd Saturday of each month, 10:30 am to 3 pm, share your creativity re-doing and building upcycled, re-purposed items for Habitat ReStore. Registration required. Closed-toe shoes must be worn in the work area.
