ReStore Tattered Trucks

 

Dutchess County Habitat for Humanity strives to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through home ownership in our community. This mission is accomplished through the tireless hours of work done by our wonderful team of staff, volunteers and people  just like you. 

Habitat for Humanity's mission is simple:  Seeking to put God's love into action, we bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.  ReStore supports home building by providing the financial support needed to continue our great efforts in the community. The ReStore sells all sorts of home furnishings such as appliances, furniture, cabinets, and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price.  These items are all donated by surrounding businesses and residents who receive a tax donation receipt in return for their generosity.

In order to pick these items up, volunteers and drivers take care of the entire loading process from the donor's location to the ReStore. Box trucks serve as the primary means of transport for these volunteers and donations.  These trucks are vital to the operational activity that makes ReStore run efficiently.

  Our old start up trucks were critical to our initial success but they have driven their last mile.  Safety must come first.  Wheels on the road equals safe affordable housing for all.  Help us make that happen with your tax deductible donation today.
