About Clinton County Habitat for Humanity ReStore Needs You!

CLINTON COUNTY HABITAT RESTORE VOLUNTEER POSTING

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells new and used overstocked and discontinued building and home improvements materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors, businesses and individuals. These donated items are sold to the public or used in the construction of Habitat homes. All profits from the Habitat ReStore help build Habitat for Humanity homes in partnership with our community. Our ReStore location is at 2352 N. US 27, St. Johns, MI 48879. This location provides us an opportunity to engage the community, and provide discounted goods to the public.

Positions Needed:
While every day brings new opportunities and jobs to be done at the Habitat ReStore, there are recurring chores and tasks for volunteers. These include:
Customer Service-This person will help customers find products throughout the store. Helpful if you have a background in retail.
Merchandising-This person will help with pricing and displaying product throughout the store room. This is an awesome job for someone who is great at understanding the value of a variety of items.
Donation Pickup-This person will help the ReStore truck driver pick up items all over the county. This position will be great for someone who doesn’t mind heavy lifting and traveling throughout the county.
Fixer-This person will help with fixing donations that need some minor repair. A background in repairing electronics, combustion systems, and even minor furniture repair is helpful. This position would be great for someone who enjoys troubleshooting problems and fixing them.
Cleaner-This person will help clean items that we receive through donation. A great position for someone who has an attention to detail.
Skilled Tradesman-We occasionally will need assistance with select work projects at the ReStore. The trades needed would be carpenters, licensed electricians, and licensed plumbers.
We are always looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer on a regular basis at the ReStore. Understand that specific positions can shift based on what is needed on a daily basis, we like to train people to be a minor expert in all positions, and some positions can overlap. But we understand that some people may not feel comfortable will some things, so we will gladly accommodate your needs and strengths.
