About Volunteer Advocate

Volunteer Advocates work with survivors of sexual assault, providing important services like answering crisis calls, accompanying survivors to the hospital or court, safety planning, and peer support services. Training is required, and volunteers can sign up for flexible shifts based on their schedules.

Application Process

Interested volunteers should call 830-372-2780. Volunteers will complete an application and background check. Thirty hours of classroom training are required, followed by 10 hours of on the job training and supervision.
