About City-Wide Clean-Up

This is a city-wide clean up project initiated by the GSDP Community Appearance Committee. It is held annually, prior to the first MSU home football game in an effort to put our best face forward when fans from other schools visit Starkville. Volunteers pick up litter along streets and public areas such as parks and parking lots. Volunteers will receive a GSU t-shirt, trash bag, glove, water. In order to assure a correct t-shirt size, sign up on-line at www.getsweptup.com by 8/14/15.

Application Process

Volunteers must be old enough to watch for traffic, and able bodied enough to bend over and pick up litter. Most volunteers begin early in the morning and complete their assigned areas within 30 minutes, although the only requirement is to complete the assigned area by 3PM,
