About Summer Farming Internship

Position Type: Part-Time Unpaid Internship, 10 hours/ week
Dates of Internship: 5/15/17-8/23/17
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Maintain community garden through regular watering and weeding
 Harvest and distribute vegetables to GLHC residents
 Assist with on-site composting and vermicomposting programs
 Support volunteers and community experts with opportunities for contributing to food security
 Coordinate with GLHC’s HERO program
 Must be able to communicate via email and phone
Preferred Skills:
 Reliable, independent worker
 Experience working with diverse populations
 Ability to work effectively with more than one supervisor
Compensation:
 Academic credit available
 CATA bus pass available
 Fresh vegetables from GLHC’s community garden
