About Summer Farming Internship

Position Type: Part-Time Unpaid Internship, 10 hours/ week
Dates of Internship: 5/15/17-8/23/17
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain community garden through regular watering and weeding
Harvest and distribute vegetables to GLHC residents
Assist with on-site composting and vermicomposting programs
Support volunteers and community experts with opportunities for contributing to food security
Coordinate with GLHC’s HERO program
Must be able to communicate via email and phone
Preferred Skills:
Reliable, independent worker
Experience working with diverse populations
Ability to work effectively with more than one supervisor
Compensation:
Academic credit available
CATA bus pass available
Fresh vegetables from GLHC’s community garden
