This is a PAID Internship. Responsibilities:
Time Commitment Required:
• Must be available June through August 2016 (May – October preferred)
• 10-20 hours/week preferred, 5 hours minimum
• Wednesdays and/or Thursdays required, flexible with other days and times

Deadline to apply: Positions are expected to be filled by May 2016, but are open until filled.
The Lansing Roots Marketing Collective serves our on-site farmers and a number of other local produce growers through a Multi-Grower CSA-weekly vegetable subscription program- and other wholesale and retail sales. Program Assistants will work with the Lansing Roots Marketing Coordinator and other staff on all production and marketing operations, including crop production work, communications, and logistics. Specific duties are varied and may include, but are not limited to: assisting with harvest, wash, and storage process (Wednesdays) as well as weekly packing and distribution days (Thursdays), assisting with production as needed, assisting farmers with diversified backgrounds with vegetable production, communications and marketing, deliveries, distribution site supervision, and system developments for future seasons. All other farm duties as necessary.
Qualifications: Physical ability and willingness to work in ALL environmental conditions. Interest and ability in marketing and sales. Knowledge of farming or gardening. Ability to work with a diverse range of people of various social, cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds while maintaining a positive attitude. Reliable transportation to farm in mason, MI required.
