About Heart Lake Ambassadors

Help keep wildlife and visitors safe!

Become a Hear Lake Ambassador and be a friendly, informative presence at one of the most popular places in the Great Burn, Hear Lake! Because this area sees so many visitors that are new to the area and new to camping you will provide useful information about wildlife (especially mountain goats!), camping at Heart Lake, trail access, safety and Leave-No-Trace practices to visitors in the area!

Application Process

It takes four steps to become an ambassador:
1) Sign up on the GBCA website.
2) Complete the online training.
3) Sign participation waiver.
4) Select dates to volunteer: the ambassador program will be running on weekends from late June -September.
