About Girls Guide

Becoming a Girls Guide is the most meaningful commitment a person can make to girls in the Pacific Northwest, and the women who dedicate themselves to this role are key players in advancing the rights and opportunities of girls and young women, reducing and eliminating the barriers girls face, and reforming systems that impede their success. Our Girls Guides spend 90-120 minutes every week leading a girls group, delivering programming that will support girls to take risks, maintain healthy body image, and be safe in their world. Our Girls Guides develop trusting, mentoring relationships with girls. They are trained by Girls Inc. staff to deliver our research-based, proven curricula to help girls develop the confidence and self-esteem to access a bright and economically-independent future.

Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest is committed to providing a rewarding, educational, and supportive volunteer experience. As a Girls Guide volunteer, our Girls Inc. staff Program Coordinators will be your personal liaison, ready to help you reach success in this volunteer position.
