About Handle A Shepherd at Adoption Days

You’ll manage a German Shepherd for 2-3 hours on a Saturday at one of our events. This usually involves sitting with them, giving them love, pets, treats and taking them on potty breaks. It’s really fun and we have up to 10 dogs at each event. We ask that you have that you’ve owned dogs and have experience with them. Our Adoption Day Events are held in Danville, Redwood City, San Jose and Woodland. We also participate in various community outreach events across Northern California.

Application Process

Please complete the Volunteer Form at http://www.gsrnc.org/vol_quest.asp. We do offer high school age teens opportunities to earn community service hours based on their dog handling skills at Adoption Days.
