About Veteran Hospice Volunteers

We are looking for Veteran Volunteers who want to make a difference in a Veteran's life. There are no special skills required just a desire to make a difference. Veteran Volunteers visit with Veteran patients and their families, send cards, call patients and caregivers, assist with office duties, offer support and companionship, journaling with Veteran patients, and many more activities. The main goal of Veteran volunteer recruitment is to engage the large Veteran community in improving end-of-life care for Veterans.

We are seeking volunteers in the following counties: Clay, Lowndes, Oktibbeha, and Winston Counties.

The Veteran Volunteer must be at least 18 years of age, a Veteran, or listed as an Active Reservist. We ask that our volunteers make at least a 6 month commitment with one hour of service weekly or every two weeks.
