Great Gallatin Pedal, Paddle, Run-Off Relay Race
Hosted by: Gallatin River Task Force
About Great Gallatin Pedal, Paddle, Run-Off Relay Race
The race is on for a healthy Gallatin River! We need support volunteers to help run the race. 2 volunteers will be needed at each of the hand-off stations. Locations include: the Gallatin River Task Force office parking lot, Ophir School parking lot, Porcupine Creek put-in, and the Start & Finish. We will also need 4 spotters along the Gallatin River, where the float section of the race will be.
There will be teams of 3 (or more!) biking the banks of the West Fork, from Town Center to Ophir School. The biker will signal to the floater (do you raft? kayak? SUP?), who will launch from Porcupine Creek/Gallatin RiverHouse Grill, and float the waters of the Gallatin to the West Fork confluence. The floater will signal to the runner, who will run the trail back to Town Center for the grand finale.
All volunteers will come back to the finish to celebrate at the Fair, where there will be vendors, artisans, food trucks, and live music.
