About Become a Mentor for Future For Kids

Inspire a child, and become a mentor in our “Discover Your Future” out-of-school time program! As a mentor, you will work closely with a small group of youth participants for two hours once a week at one of our partner locations. Each week, you will assist with homework, join in fitness activities and facilitate ethics discussions.

*Age: 16+
*Commitment: Two hours once a week for 26 weeks during the school year

To become a mentor, you must complete the following steps:
1. Complete and submit a mentor application
2. Interview with one of our staff members
3. Complete background check or provide a finger print clearance card
4. Attend a two hour training session
