About Volunteer and Foster Program

The Pocatello Animal Shelter needs your help! Our volunteers and foster owners ensure that our animals receive one-on-one interactions that helps to improve their social skills, makes their time at the shelter more bearable, and increases their chance of being adopted. There are many ways you can help out, including: working with the dogs on the property, working with the cats in the adoptable cat room, fostering litters or individual animals that need more time before they go up for adoption, bathing/minor grooming, cleaning kennels, helping out in the office, greeting and guiding those who come to the shelter, helping with fundraisers and outreach events, and working on projects from your home.
