About Volunteering at Tacachale

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available at Tacachale! Whether you’re able to assist with a specific event or on a regular basis, the people of Tacachale would love to meet you! Students and other groups are also welcome.


Opportunities include -

• Home Visit Volunteer:

In this role, volunteers visit and socialize with the ladies or gentlemen who live together in a home setting. The residents love and appreciate the friendship!

• Special Event Volunteer:

We put on lots of events at Tacachale, such as dances, parties, carnivals, movies, bingo, and sporting activities. Volunteers attend the events with the residents, and may also assist with set up, clean up, and serving refreshments.

• Special Olympics Volunteer:

These volunteers practice with our residents and teach them sporting skills in preparation for Special Olympics. Volunteers for all sports are always needed! We currently have Special Olympians who participate in bowling, basketball, track & field, bocce, golf, and swimming.

• Special Project Volunteer:

We often need volunteers to assist with one-time projects such as painting or landscaping. If you have special skills and are willing to share your talent, we’d love to have you sign up.

• Ministry Volunteer:

Worship services are very important to many of the people who live at Tacachale. If you or your church family would like to minister at Tacachale, let’s make it happen!
