About Rookery Bay Volunteer Opportunities

Get immersed in nature, education, the arts and community engagement through fun – and often adventurous – volunteer opportunities on the water, along nature trails and at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center. Join a wonderful group of volunteers and staff who work together to connect people with Southwest Florida’s coastal environment. Welcome people to the center and help them discover the aquariums, touch tank, exhibits and art gallery. Make art receptions, lunch and evening lectures, and other programs run smoothly. Inspire students during interactive field trips in the center’s laboratories and at the field station down Shell Island Road. Be the first voice people hear when they call to sign up for events. Use your organizational skills to help plan community events. Share your treasure and talent as a Friends of Rookery Bay Board Member. Let us know how you can make a difference! Volunteers are needed weekdays and specially on Saturdays.
