Complete Funding of Rainwater Collection System

Help us raise the remaining $6,000 needed to complete a rainwater collection system at the Enchanted Rock headquarters building

A fundraising campaign for Friends of Enchanted Rock

The gem of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department parks, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, suffers from water shortages even during average rainfall conditions. In 2011, Friends of Enchanted Rock installed the first (and only) rainwater catchment system with help from Whole Earth Provision Company and CHACO. That prized system is at the group pavilion and provides the 1600 acre remote park with valuable firefighting water. Our new rainwater catchment system is situated at Enchanted Rock Headquarters and will provide valuable landscaping AND toilet flushing water. The park headquarters is the only entrance into the park and every guest must stop and check in. The highly visible, attractive rainwater installation will serve as an educational interpretive display for much needed water conservation. At the park’s current rate of nearly 300,000 visitors a year, the positive impact this installation will have on public education and ERSNA’S water conservation is enormous. Won't you help us complete this GREAT project? Donate now! Thank you from your friends at FOER!
