About Toddler Teacher Assistant

We invite you to explore the opportunity of joining our volunteer program in bringing high quality child care and early childhood education to the children in our community.
FMDNS is a non profit child care center that serves low income families with children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old.

We are currently accepting applications for teacher Aids in all classrooms at both campuses.

Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
Assist the lead or assistant teachers, which includes, but is not limited to:
Decorating the class and keeping classrooms clean and orderly
Meeting children's basic needs ( attention, mentoring, etc.)
Be familiar with and follow all school policies and licensing rules.
Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, hearing, talking, and repetitive motion are physical requirements of the position.

Qualifications:
Meet the requirement for an FBI background check
Possess a teamwork mindset, strong communication skills, organization skills and problem-solving ability
Ability to build rapport with children, teachers, admin and other volunteers

Application Process

The application is a 10$ processing fee which includes an FBI background check.
