Hotline Volunteers commit to carrying the FCWFS Hotline Phone a week or weekend at a time and answering it outside of normal business hours. These dedicated volunteers answer whenever the phone rings, whether that is 9 p.m. or 3 a.m., to make sure callers get the help they need. Many times callers just need to be directed to other service providers, sometimes they need a bed for the night. Whenever a call requires more than a conversation, the Hotline Volunteer will contact staff members for further assistance.
