About Soaker 7.7K Run/Walk for Heat Exhaustion Awareness

The Soaker 7.7K Run/Walk for Heat Exhaustion Awareness is an event to raise awareness and money to prevent heat exhaustion and other heat related illnesses from harming our younger high school athletes. The run is being held in conjunction with an educational symposium to inform the community on the symptoms and signs of heat illness, as well as preventative measures. The run will start at the NFTA Boat Harbor and the course follows the beautiful Buffalo Waterfront. Be prepared to get wet as volunteers as well as the Buffalo Fire Department will be on site to make sure racers are properly hydrated from head to toe!

Application Process

If you want to volunteer please contact me at my email ([email protected]) or Excelsior's Clinical Research Director, Jami Radtke. Info on registering for the run itself, as well as Jami's contact info can be found here: https://reg.score-this.com/regx/step1.jsp?eventID=1378
