Reliable vehicles are essential to our capacity to deliver meals. We serve people who have difficulty grocery shopping and preparing their own meals, regardless of their income or ability to make a financial contribution. We focus on older individuals with the greatest economic and social needs: minorities, low income, the frail and vulnerable. About 10% of the people we serve are disabled adults under the age of 60.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 in this GiveGab appeal by May 31st. Altogether we’ll raise $50,000 to replace two delivery vans in 2015. Already we have $13,160 from sponsors and a third party event. Aigen Financial Group, Cargill, CSP Management, Longview, Sciarabba Walker & Co, and Blumkin & Finlay have sponsored vans. The employees of CFCU Community Credit Union raised money by having Blue Jeans Day! Foundation grants and gifts from individuals will complete the campaign.
