About Gleaning to Fight Hunger

On Thursday morning, August 13th, the Food Bank of South Central Michigan needs help picking corn at a local farm from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
The corn is being generously donated to the Food Bank so that we can get it out to our agencies, and into the hands of people who need it, but first we need volunteer help to collect the corn!!!
If you are interested in helping us out, please contact the Food Bank Volunteer Department at 269-441-4438 for details, or send a GiveGab message/email message to cschofield@foodbankofscm.org.
This is an off-site volunteer opportunity, and will take place at a farm off of 11 Mile Rd. Volunteers should wear long pants (jeans are best) and wear closed toe shoes.
