About Gleaning (Picking) Sweet Corn

The Food Bank has a gleaning opportunity this Thursday at Christophel Farms in the Battle Creek/ Marshall area. We will be picking corn off the stalk. If you have little ones this would be a great time to get their hands dirty. If interested please wear clothing/footwear you do not mind getting dirty. We prefer you wear jeans. I encourage everyone to invite a friend. The more the merrier. The Food Bank truck and van will be on site to be filled with sweet corn. We will provide cold water. The forecast for Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 9am-Noon is 60 -69 degrees and partly cloudy.
