New Fundraising Resources for COVID-19 Crisis Relief
First Regional Library - DeSoto, Lafayette, Panola, Tate & Tunica counties

About Us

First Regional Library is a five-county public library cooperative with fourteen branches located in northern Mississippi. The Region was formed among DeSoto, Tate, Panola & Lafayette counties in 1950. Tunica county joined the system in 1968. The regional headquarters is located inside the branch in Hernando, MS.

First Regional's mission is: the people's place for lifelong learning. We accomplish this mission by providing free access to books and materials, technology, programming and meeting space. We collaborate and outreach to area schools and organizations to support education and literacy throughout the community.

We strive to build community, make families friendlier, open patron's minds, nourish creativity, level the playing field regardless of income, class or other factors and inform citizens of our community.
