About The Wild Party: USHER TRAINING & DRESS REHEARSAL

Set in the Roaring Twenties, Andrew Lippa’s darkly brilliant musical is inspired by Joseph Moncure March’s 1928 banned poem recounting the excesses of the Jazz Age. Richmond Theatre Critics Circle (RTCC) Award nominee Grey Garrett (POP!, I Love a Piano) returns to Firehouse as vaudeville dancer Queenie, who hosts a party to end all parties in the Manhattan apartment she shares with her vicious lover Burrs, played by RTCC Award winner and Style Weekly Top 40 Under 40 recipient Terence Sullivan (Next to Normal, The Rocky Horror Show). As a group of burlesque performers join together for one wild, erotic evening, the destructive couple set out to make each other jealous. The jazz and gin soaked party rages on when a newcomer complicates their strained relationship and challenges their decadent and thrill-seeking high living. For all who enjoy Cabaret or Chicago, Lippa’s tale of out of control passions is a must-see.
