About Foster Care

FCHS is always in need of Foster Homes. Foster homes are provided by people who take a shelter animal home and care for them as if they are their own pets. This helps the pets become well rounded and in turn, it makes them easier to adopt out or send to a rescue organization. FCHS pays for all costs on foster animals, such as food, vaccinations, spay/neuter, medications, etc. Bty fostering one anima, you are saving two lives. The more foster homes we have, the less stressed the animals are.
Requirements to be a foster home: Must be 18 years or older, must own your own home (or have letter from landlord approving you to foster on their property). Dog fosters are required to have a fenced in yard, and personal pets must be up to date on vaccinations.
