About AARP Summer of Service to Seniors- Washington DC

The AARP Foundation and US Hunger (Feeding Children Everywhere's domestic brand) are partnering together for the 4th year in a row to package 1,000,000 meals for the Washington, DC community. There will be great music, good fun and a volunteer experience like no other!


Details about our Summer of Service are as follows:

Date: Tuesday, September 11th, 2018

Shift 1: 7:00am-12:30pm
Shift 2: 11:00am-4:40pm

Volunteers are only required to stay for one shift but can volunteer all day if they would like.

Location:

National Mall, Washington, DC

Perks:

- Breakfast or lunch will be provided depending on shift time
- A free T-shirt will be provided to wear the day of the event and keep
- All support team volunteers will receive a take-home goodie bag with bonus gifts!!

We're looking for 120 excited volunteers to help us make this the best event yet!

We are specifically looking for volunteers willing to join our support team as table captains (training and leading a table of 12-15 volunteers to make sure that everyone has a great time while packaging 1,000,000 meals!) or logistics (refilling food product bins, carrying finished boxes to pallets, and wrapping pallets. logistic volunteers need to be able to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift).
