About Youth Facilitator

Youth Facilitator: Incorporates a structured youth experience during Family Strengthening Support Groups. The volunteer will be responsible for working with families and staff to help teach the children basic elements of the Five Protective Factors. All program volunteers act as positive role models for all participants. The Youth Facilitator will follow the youth program guidelines, assist or lead curriculum once a week and focus on positive growth of the children. This position requires a minimum 6-month commitment with training, supervision and on-going support. As these volunteers are in a position of trust, it is imperative that they provide consistency in their time served.
