About Subject Matter Expert (SME)

The Family Strengthening Program encompasses the whole family in building Five Protective Factors that are known to help families thrive. The Protective Factors include social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, social and emotional competencies of children, knowing about concrete support in times of need, and parental resiliency.

Subject Matter Experts are those who specialize in a specific topic. This person will be willing to present to parents or children on the topic they specialize in. Topics include but are not limited to Child Development, Special Education, Sex Education, Internet Safety, Housing, Mental Health, Health Care, and services your organization offers.
