About Pro Bono Attorney

Pro bono is short for the Latin phrase “pro bono publico”, which means "for the public good." Our pro bono attorneys provide high-quality legal counsel to volunteer Guardians ad Litem (GAL) and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in foster care cases. Volunteer attorneys are required to maintain objectivity and professionalism while advocating for the best interest of the child. A typical pro bono case involves free representation of someone who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Around the country, day in and day out, pro bono lawyers represent children enduring abuse, neglect, and abandonment, fighting for their rights in court. We cannot properly advocate for children without pro bono attorneys, and with cases rising in Idaho, the need is only that much greater.
