About Interested in becoming a docent?

Docents have the opportunity to learn about the Museum's collection, special exhibitions, and art history during docent training given by our curator and other museum educators. Not only do docents teach about art, but they also engage in conversations with visitors of all ages and backgrounds about art.

Application Process

Certain individuals, in order to work or volunteer with children, are required to obtain clearances which may include the following: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Check.
