About Christmas in the Country - Volunteers Needed

Ba166f0b86263fa6f9c512a2650ed09c729a2ed6

Rehoboth Farms will be hosting their second annual “Christmas in the Country.” There will be Christmas Carols, inflatables, farmyard animals, photos with Santa Claus, holiday photo backdrops, food vendors, and even a fireworks display -- in other words, a grand ol’ Christmas in the country!!!

This year Rehoboth Farms is partnering with Ever Reaching Community Outreach (ERCO), a nonprofit ministry, to conduct a Toy Drive & Christmas Fundraiser the whole family can enjoy. ERCO has been helping area families for the past five years and desires to expand their outreach this holiday season. Rehoboth Farms and ERCO believe our mission field is right here in our state. Many of our children suffer the effects of poverty every day, continuously going without, knowing that luxuries like new toys or clothes are simply not available to them. This Toy Drive will not only provide new gifts for those children, but will give them the gift of hope and wishes fulfilled. Here is your opportunity to inspire, motivate and take an active role in supporting families in need in our Greater Jackson, MS area.

We are asking individuals & area churches to come out that evening with new unwrapped toys which will then be distributed the following Saturday, December 9th, at ERCO’s annual “Toy Store.” The church with the most gifts collected will win a gift card for their pastor! And the children who ultimately receive the toys you bring will truly be blessed this holiday season. If you know of a family who needs Christmas assistance, please have them contact ERCO at 601-665-5720.

When shopping for Christmas gifts this season, please keep ERCO in mind. There may be people on your list who might truly appreciate having a donation made in their name, rather than receiving a tangible gift. This is a perfect option for people who “have everything” or whose lives have been impacted in some way by poverty, which ERCO fights against every day.

ERCO will gladly accept most any form of help, and does not have a minimum requirement for monetary donations. Even if you cannot donate anything, please consider at least volunteering at “Christmas in the Country” and/or the “Toy Store”. Many volunteers will be needed for both events.

From everyone at Rehoboth Farms and ERCO, we wish all of you a very safe and Merry Christmas! Thank you in advance for your prayerful & sacrificial participation! All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you on December 2nd!!
