About End Violent Encounters

Our mission since 1977 is to provide safety and supportive services to individuals and families fleeing domestic violence, while seeking to end domestic violence entirely through community outreach and prevention education.

Our volunteer opportunities and internships for individuals include:
Advocacy/Client Support, Bilingual Interpreter, Child & Family Advocacy, Community Education, Dating Violence Prevention Education, Event Planning, Gardening, Legal Advocacy, Office Support and Shelter-Facilities Assistance.

Volunteer opportunities for groups include: creating public awareness, outreach, fundraisers, events, collecting donations and more!

Application Process

Volunteer training is held three times a year, in the fall (September), in the winter (January) and in the summer (May), with training occurring over the course of 4 days.
