By volunteering your time, you can use your commercial skills to make a real difference to African businesses.
We need volunteers to help with:
Successful entrepreneurs
from high or low income countries can apply to mentor one of our most ambitious customers. To qualify, you should have experience running a company employing between 30 and 200 people. You will be matched up with an entrepreneur suitable for you. This starts with a 1-3 week period shadowing the entrepreneur, and you are then free to agree an ongoing arrangement with the entrepreneur that suits both parties.
Corporate volunteers
can apply to conduct self-contained consulting projects to help one or more of our customers to grow. To qualify, you should have blue-chip corporate or management consulting experience. You will be matched up to a project appropriate to your background. Projects can last from 2-8 weeks, and can include helping to coordinate shared purchasing across customers in similar sectors, or helping a customer plan their expansion strategy or design a strong consumer brand.
Experienced graduates
can apply to volunteer in one of our offices in a corporate role; for example, there is an annual placement for a communications volunteer in Moshi, Northern Tanzania, managing investor and donor communications and other responsibilities.
