About Volunteering at the Emerson


There are many ways to volunteer at the Emerson through the year. Here are some ways you can help:

Docent - Docents lead Schools & Seniors in the Gallery Tours in the Spring and Fall.

Events - We never turn down help setting up and tearing down events like Lunch on the Lawn, Quick Draws & Cocktails, Christmas Stroll, and Celebration of the Arts.

Event Set-up and Tear Down

Sign up!
Assist in setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, tents, decor and other equipment needed for a variety of events. Specific tasks vary by event, but generally require the ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds.

Sign up!
Lead school groups and senior groups through Emerson's changing exhibits. Share information and lead group discussions about the work. Demonstrate group art project and assist students as needed.
