About Photographers and Film / Videographers

Do you love the outdoors? Have you ever thought of taking shots or film footage of natural landscapes that are both contrasting in beauty and pollution? If you like vibrant colors, the world of abandoned mine drainage is for you then.

EPCAMR can take you on tours into the realm of PA's Polluted Waters that we are desperately trying to heal over time and restore to their natural splendor and beauty, in function, form, and habitat. We need volunteers who have an eye with a camera or video capabilities that could join us in the field on our watershed tours to capture some teaching moments, as well as assist us with telling our story to the general public.

We lack the capacity to do this ourselves, when we are wearing so many hats at one time. We have stories to tell, but no one to help us tell our stories, both from a visual standpoint, and from a documentary-like point of view. We need people like you to volunteer in this capacity to help us make a difference. When else will you get an opportunity to go to places that most people don't get to see on private lands, coal lands, abandoned mine lands, and near your hometowns in the Coal Region that you've probably driven by or walked by 100 times, without realizing just what impacts our past legacy of mining is having on our health and our communities?
