About Digital Archiving - Photography
This is a cool project for those interested in photography of historic item too big to fit on a scanner.
We have a number of newspaper clipping, photos, and artifacts that are simply too big even for our large format scanner.
They need to be photographed, and then archived in a computerized digital archive.
Build light box, photograph, label artifact, store in archive.. fun!
We need volunteers to help with:
Digitize holdings

Define the game plan for the historical society to digitize our holdings, and store on computer/online, and be easily accessible to members.
Build light box

Build light and photo rig for big objects

Build a platform, light racks and camera mount to photograph large old photo's and newspapers.
