About Volunteer

Our volunteers are our most important asset and they do a remarkable job for the animals, the shelter and our programs. Everyday, a volunteer helps improve the life of an animal here at the Dublin / Laurens County Georgia Humane Society. Our volunteers help many animals a year through fostering, dog walking, or working in our shelter. Our shelter allows us to provide the best creature comforts for our animals and the volunteers who interact with them. If you would like to join us to find homes for animals, educate the public or raise funds, this is what you need to do:
-Complete a general volunteer application.
-Attend a Volunteer Orientation Session. You’ll be contacted to reserve your spot.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Youth ages 14 and younger must be accompanied by a parent for all volunteer sessions.
-After you have submitted your volunteer application, you will hear from us within approximately 2 weeks. You will likely be scheduled for an orientation after receipt of your application.
