About ESL Tutors for Adults

ESL Tutors for Adults volunteers focus on developing English-speaking skills (one-to-one or small groups) of adults with little or no English-speaking skills. You do NOT need to speak Spanish. We provide the books and tools you need along with training. Our students see the value in improving their skills. Therefore, many have remained part of our vibrant learning community to further their skills which has empowered them to seek better roles (and pay) at work, access resources (healthcare, education and training) and participate more fully in the community. Additionally, we have seen adults become more confident and no longer rely on their children, grandchildren or friends to translate on their behalf.

Application Process

Contact us or email us to begin the process. Doors to Hope requires an application and background check (paid by DTH) before volunteer training begins.

Family-Friendly
