About Mothers Against Violence

Join us as we empower women at various homeless shelters, transitional homes, and support groups. We offer them a 2-hour workshop filled with an art or beauty activity and facilitated conversation on life skills and self-care infused with live entertainment and food.

Your duties will include any of the following tasks, engaging with the women, light prep and/or assisting participants with our activities, serving food and passing out printed material. We will have facilitators and staff to support you in completing these tasks, and we strive to assign you in the position where you can best serve.

Mothers Against Violence is a support group to simply build hope and provide emotional support and eventually some healing. The inspiration for this group comes from constantly seeing families and communities grieving and being devastated by violence.

This opportunity starts at 12:30pm for setup and the Tour is from 1:00-3:00pm , teardown until 3:30 pm.
