About Foster

Fostering a needy animal until it finds a loving, forever home is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do! Many people won't try because they think they won't be able to let the pet go, but once you know that by finding the one a home, you can go on to save another life, it makes it easy.
Some people insist they can't do it because their current pet won't tolerate it. This is nonsense. Animals are the most adaptive creatures and they'll adjust to just about anything. You'll be surprised how much that Couch Diva enjoys those baby kittens or puppies you bring in. Or how the house protector enjoys playing with the new foster pet when they're introduced correctly.
You choose which animals you take in, though we'll be happy to help you choose the right one for you. Never nursed baby kittens - I hadn't either, until I did! And the foster is in control of which home is chosen for adoption. We would never ask you to place an animal somewhere you were unsure of.
The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save! No previous experience needed, just a desire to save lives! No experience needed - we will teach you everything you need to know as well as pairing you with an experienced foster parent. We pay for all veterinary expenses. We do ask the foster to pay for food, treats and any special items you'd like the pet to have. We do occasionally have toys, leashes, collars, beds, etc. donated which the foster is welcome to use on their foster pet.
