About STEM guest speakers

We frequently host guest speakers as part of two different educational programs. The first are our CHED Talks (Cheesehead Engineering Discussions). These last about a half hour and the speakers give the students first-hand accounts of some of the cool career opportunities available to people who pursue STEM majors in college and beyond. We archive these talks on our YouTube Channel to make them widely available to other interested people.

The second group of volunteers we need are professionals with technical expertise in various parts of robot design and manufacture for our training program that takes place each fall. Who do we need? If you know about metal fabrication, hydraulics, testing, coding, electronics, drivetrains, or control systems, you may be a "grate" candidate for coming in and working with our rookies to help introduce them to the various systems they will work with. Not sure if your skill set is a good match? Contact us and we'd love to talk!

Application Process

No application process, we would need to assess your skills or background during a phone conversation and then work with you to schedule a mutually agreeable time.
